I like the idea for this shot. I'm definitely glad to see it on an angle, and not just nice and straight. I also like that you filled the frame so we don't have a background to distract us. These types of shots are really difficult, taking something that is already 2D is harder to make interesting, but I think the angle helps out in this. I also think that the dof helps add to the picture. Although I'm not sure if the focus is on or not. It kind of looks like it is off, but that could just be the way the music was printed that makes it look like that. I'm not sure what it would take, but there needs to be something else there to just draw my eye to the picture. Overall this is a great shot.

Not a bad shot. The focus seems on to me. Just needs a little something for more interest. Maybe having the title of the piece in the shot???

I agree with Travis - I would've liked to have seen the title or anything that would've let us know what piece of music this was. Maybe you were going for mystery though and if so - well done.

it's a good idea...but I think you could have added a bit more...the title, or some color or something extra! =)

I like the crisp feel the picture has, probably the white and black contrast. But I think it needs to be busier. It needs something more. Maybe you could have chosen some music with more notes or more complicated notes. I agree with the other that having the title in the picture would have been more interesting.

I mentioned in my comments on the other music sheets that I really struggle with one dimensional objects. I think you did a great job dealing with the one dimension with the DOF and the angle, but I think it is still so hard to create that wow factor with a flat page. Nice job with a difficult subject matter though.

I love the simplicity of the black and white in this shot. Love the way you have used DOF here, too. Very effective. Nice job.
