Love those fibers. They show up so well in this shot. Great colors, too.

This is probably my favorite for the week. I really like the composition, and how well you can see those threads sticking out. Filling the frame really can add interest to a subject. Although part of the symbol is cut off, that isn't too distracting, but cutting off part of the S would have been bad. I am glad to see the whole S intact. The only thing I would suggest would be to get your colors to pop more. I realize that you haven't done much with PS yet, but popping those colors in PPing would make this shot even better. Nice job, this should be a ribbon winner IMO.

I am glad you pointed the fibers coming out of it because at first glance I missed those. I actually REALLY like that about this picture. I also like the texture in the denim on the hat. This is a neat shot!

Nicely composed, simplicity in detail and colour make this a 'clean' image which is almost essential when constrained by image size (both pixel and kb). My favourite for this challange
