Hi! I'm a stay at home mom with two kids. I'm new to photography (I took a few classes in college but that was a lifetime ago!) so I'm hoping to be inspired to take my camera out and get creative. I got my first DSLR a couple of months ago and it has been a big adjustment for me. My film camera is an old Pentax K1000 that only shoots in manual. I'm finding all the options confusing! My owners manual is already dogeared!

I look forward to participating and seeing all the wonderful pictures.

I have a Canon 30D. My husband bought me a Canon EOS Elan IIE about 8 years ago. I had a hard time getting used to it though so I gave it to him and stuck with my Pentax. We took a photo 101 class together and he fell in love with photography and the camera. Over the years we collected a lot of accessories for it, lenses, speedlight, fliters, so we decided to stay with Canon because it was all compatable.

I love my old Pentax though and I'll always keep it!

Thats too bad, but you can still hang out here. You just need to take all your challenge shots with your K1000 and scan them in so you can participate.
