Hello everyone,
I work with Travis. Melody, who recently also joined, introduced me to the site. I am excited to have joined this forum and hopefully participate in the challenges each week. I have always loved photograpphy but never really learned anything about it until right before the birth of my son about 2 years ago. I bought my first SLR then and took a couple of basic classes. I have the Canon Rebel XT, the 18-55mm lens that comes with it, as well as a 75-300mm f4-5.6 lens and a 50mm f1.8 lens. I love to shoot people! Based on the past challenges, I think they will help me broaden my horizons. My ultimate dream is to make a living as a photographer (wouldn't we all!) but I still have a lot to learn and don't think I'll be ready for the "jump" for quite sometime, if ever.

Hey, its nice to see you finally join us. I have noticed you on and looking around before and I wondered when you were finally going to sign up. Hopefully these challenges will help you get out and try something new, that is why I do them. It gives me a chance to take a shot of something I might not have tried.
