My Introduction

Hi all! My name is Jenny and I found out about this site Travis was setting up on Two Peas also. I think this will be a great way to share and get to know each other through photography. I'm located in the Cincinnati Ohio area (go Buckeyes!) and have 4 kids ages 23, 19, 17 & 13.

I've been into photography ever since I was a teenager with my first P&S. Of course I've since upgraded my equipment and use a Pentax K10D, that is until the K20D comes out. Being a Pentaxian, it's almost blasphemous to say this but my favorite camera I've ever owned was my Canon AE1. I loved that camera, until it died on me. That's when I ventured into the world of Pentax with my first Pentax film SLR and I haven't looked back since.

My photography centers mainly around sports as I've become known as the video/photography person around the local high school as I film and produce the highlight videos for the football team as well as take photos and produce posters (24 x 36) for the seniors in various sports. I greatly enjoy photography over video. Video programs are, shall we say, persnickety and can make you pull your hair out at times. Since I consider myself still in the learning stage even though I've been doing it for years, I only charge my cost for the posters so I guess that makes me a semi-pro...or just a MWAC that can luck into a decent picture from time to time. My other photography loves are travel photography and macro. The travel photography became a natural since my DH loves to travel and luckily for me we travel to Hawaii at least once a year. No better place for some fantastic photographic opportunities. I am completely inept, however, at portrait photography. I just cannot grasp this concept so for my family, I leave the real portraits to the professionals.

Nice to have you on board, especially since you are a fellow Pentaxian. Hopefully we will get some more submissions to the challenges from the 2 peas ladies, you were the only one this week.

I learned something new about you! I didn't know you were an ex-Canon fan. Me too! My first SLR was a TLB!!
And I've got to say, I'm jealous that you get to travel to Hawaii once a year! Wow, I have always wanted to visit Hawaii!!

i am happy to hear more about you, it sounds like you have a lot of fun with photography. i love your pictures that you submit can't wait to see your next submittion.
