Free Zoo Day

It was free zoo day, so I met Janae and the girls at the zoo during lunch, got the camera and went and took some pictures. I had a lot of fun, and I think my pictures are a lot better than last summer when we went to the zoo. I have really come a long way since then with photography. The white gator was my favorite, and it was taken with my best glass too, so those shots turned out the sharpest. The gator was taken through glass, the cougar and tiger were taken through chain link fence, and the rest didn't have anything in the way. I hope you enjoy these shots.

Great shots Travis. I haven't been to the zoo in ages. I need to make it a point to get there some time when the weather warms up (I'm a weather wimp).

they do look great but i love the zebra every time i see it here or on janaes blog. there is something about it .

The zebra and pot belly pig are my fav - though the alligator gives them a good run for their money with shooting clearly through that glass!

Wow... love these! The first time I used my 300mm zoom lens was at the zoo, but I didn't get shots nearly like this. I'll have to make another trip soon.
