My Intro...
Hello all, I am writing from Cleveland, Ohio. I have been intersted in Cameas ever since I was overseas in 1987. Around 6 months ago I hed my breath and purchased a DSLR (Nikon D-80).
I am married for almost 12 years! Wow- can't believe it's been that long. Anyways I have three children, 10,7,4 ( and a Golden Retriver and a Springer Spaniel). I enjoy going to school part-time ( for I.T.) along with my full time job. On my time off I enjoy my kids as much as I can and take pictures of whatever I can.
I would like to be confidennt enough to take my pictures on manual setting without missing a beat.

Re: My Intro...
Its nice to have you here. There are lots of talented people on here that can help you with any questions you may have to help you feel more confident about shooting in the manual modes, so feel free to ask and we will try to help you out. I can't wait to see some of your pictures in the challenges.
Re: My Intro...
Welcome Cob. Glad you could join us here. I too have a golden too (that I call a golden shedder, not retriever). Ya gotta love 'em. I'm betting you'll be out of auto in no time. Take it in steps. I found going to AV mode (aperture priority) a good first step toward manual.
