Casting A Large Shadow

Some Russian stacking dolls taken with a lamp as the light source. The lamp is coming from the right causing the first doll to cast its shadow over the other dolls.

Great shot! I love how the shadow follows the dolls into the background. I know this would be hard to do but it would have been neat if you could have made the shadow follow the exact path of the dolls and end with a shadow on the wall behind that would have been the same height as the next doll in progression would have been. Just a thought, but loved the picture! Great job.

I think this is a great shot for the challenge, clearly using a single light to illuminate the front doll so well and have such little light on the others. I like the shadows from the dolls, the only thing that distracts me some from the dolls is the shadow in the back left corner. I am not sure if it is a shadow from something else or a shadow on the back wall from the smallest doll, but it is a little distracting to me.

I really like this shot. it's very clear that there is a single light source. I like how the first doll is illuminated while all the others are in her shadow. Would also have been great for this week's challenge =) Hhmmmm...gives me some ideas.
