This was part of the handles for an old antique hand tiller. I thought it fit the catagory pretty well.

I love all the textures in the wood. The DOF is nice too. Great job!

This is one of my other favorites this week. I really think you found an intesting subject and it really looks like a perfect 'i'. I like the focus on the wood. Just be careful for the back ground as it looks like someone is walking into your picture. But great shot!

this is a great shot. i keep finding myself trying to figure out what is going on in the background and looking past the "i".

This is so cool! I love the texture in the wood and the angle you chose. I do agree about the bg, I like that it is nice and blurry but that person (?) starting to walk into the frame is a little distracting...
Nice shot
Love the detail, also like the "i" idea. The post kept my attention, although the person in the backround is somewhat annoying . Overall, I liked it.

This is a lovely shot. IMO, I used the definition of "not man made" for "nature"...but I really like the texture of the wood and the person in the bkg didn't really bother me...I'm not sure I would have paid much attention to it if someone hadn't mentioned it.

Although you can interpret the challenge however you want, I just wanted to remind you that the challenge description specifically said that the shots could be man made. It just had to be something that was already there and that you didn't manipulate to make a letter out of it. You can see the description here.

you're right...which is why it clearly says that it is just my opinion. =)

Great texture and DOF on this. I really didn't "get it" at first. It took me a minute to make the connection. Good spot. I didn't even notice the problem in the background as you've got great blur there. But now that my attention was called to it, I can see that the image would be stronger without that added color.

Really like the genuine aspect of this shot-I didn't notice the BG until I read through the other comments.
