Re: Wise Beyond Years
I think this is a cool shot. I really like how we can see the belly and some of the facial features from the statue in the shadow. The way the shadow falls, and the crease in the background also help to give us a 3d feel for this shot. I kind of wish that the shadow didn't have that second softer line around it though, a nice crisp border would have been better, IMO. Nicely done.

I like this for this challenge...an interesting subject ...I'm not sure I like the gradient of your background...it might have been a little more effective with a solid white background.

Re: Wise Beyond Years
I can't put my finger on it but I think the shope double shadow on the back weakens the image. A crisper shadow with a softer statue-what do I know though-I wasn't the one taking dozens of pictures to get here. Like the angle though!

Re: Wise Beyond Years
cute little guy. I agree that a crisper shadow would have given it a more finished feel, but I am learning that those crisp shadows are hard to get! There are a few hot spots that a tad bit distracting. Maybe you could have cloned those out. I like the angle at which the shadow falls, and the richness of the color of the little man. Nice job
